Easter Egg Hunt

We all went to Kenton's grandma's house for Easter in Tell City. I forgot how much fun it is to have Easter with kids. While they got an absurd number of "gifts" (I only remember getting a basket), the Easter egg hunt was a hoot. Kenton's cousin-in-law, Brad, initially hid the eggs out in the open, so I followed after and made it a bit more difficult so the hunting would last longer!

High School Games

Starting in April, Kenton worked about one high school game a week that was held at Bosse Field. It's pretty neat that the high school teams get to play at the historic field, but I sure miss him when he's gone.

March 26 - Etiquette?

Kenton and I went to an etiquette dinner at UE and it was odd because we were supposed to be the EXAMPLES! The "grown-ups." It's amazing how quickly that transition has happened from being a college student to being the example for students and telling them stories about the "real world." The dinner was wonderful and the moderator had a good sense of humor. What's the only problem with etiquette dinners??? They seem to always serve french onion soup because it's so difficult to eat with the cheese layer on top - I can't stand french onion soup.

I became a big sister with BBBS to a wonderful 10-year old named Kayah. She is an absolute joy and I love spending time with her. I spend her lunch hour with her every Wednesday - her favorite game is mancala. For her birthday, we went all over the place - to a Chinese buffett, to Chuck E Cheese, to the mall, and to get ice cream. It was a blast.

Feb 28 - Crop for the Cure

I went to Crop for the Cure on Saturday which is an all day fundraising event at the 4-H Center for Susan G. Komen. It was so neat having all of these women together just hanging out and raising money for a cure. All day 9am-9pm. Woo hoo!

This isn't even everyone! It's only about 1/3 of the room.

March 21 - Meagan's Wedding

On Saturday, we went to one of my sorority sisters, Meagan's wedding. It was so fun getting to see everyone. The unique thing was that the wedding was in the same room of the reception. We weren't sitting in rows for the wedding, but at the round tables. The whole thing was so relaxing because we didn't have to drive anywhere or wait to get seated in the reception hall.

Feb 17 - ECLC Dinner

Kenton and I went to a dinner tonight at the Evansville Christian Life Center. The ECLC was started by our church, Bethel Temple, way back and is now run by an independent Board of Directors. We went through the Life Center and stopped in different parts of it to learn more about each of the ministries provided. I didn't have a good understanding of what exactly the Life Center did so it was really interesting.
